Simon is a Senior Lecturer in Law and joint deputy Subject Leader for Law at the University of Northampton. He started lecturing at Northampton in 2000, and specialises in environmental law, organised crime, the illegal wildlife trade and the laws relating to firearms.
He has written two books - “Environmental Law Express” (Longman) and “Nuclear Unclear” (Lambert Academic Press), and is currently involved in writing two new books. One is an edited volume on firearms crime (Taylor & Francis) and one it a book on environmental law (Routledge) and both will be published in late 2021 or early 2022.
Along with colleagues, Simon created the material relating to firearms for the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime’s Education for Justice website. This material has been adopted and used by Universities across Europe, Central and South America, and Central Asia.
